I hate to admit it, but this is a Warhammer picture based off a slightly sappy song.

When I first got a good look at the lyrics of this song, it struck me as a very Sanguinius-y song. In my own mix of canon and head-canon, Sanguinius knew before hand that he was going to die in the fight against Horus and everything was going to go a little bit hell in a handbasket. I can see Sanguinius going onto the walls of the Palace one last time to survey Terra, before he dies at the hands of his estranged brother. Which actually fits very well with the lyrics of the song.

It's the last day on earth - or at least his, anyway.
In my dreams - according to canon (?), Sanguinius got his divinatory ability from dreams.
It's the end of the world -things are going to hell in a handbasket, and Terra is still a little explodey.
And you've come back to me - Horus is back! But he is evil.
In my dreams - ditto the divinatory ability thing.

Probably doesn't get across exactly what I think, but I'm not sure i can in writing.

Also, I totally didn't just draw this because I'm spoony for Sanguinius. *guilty whistle*
